Avoiding Self-Based Faith
Leading of the Lord…this is how we operate our business. We tried to do it man’s way at first, but it simply did not work. Everything we did to grow or prosper the company had little or no results. When we ‘finally let go and let God’, everything changed. How we operated the business is all based on faith. The Lord brings the increase and directs our path. When it’s time for a new person, another piece of equipment or to expand our reach, He signals the change and we follow.
Sweating Outcomes
Great perspective for Christ followers. I know I worried myself sick, at times, concerned with provision for myself, my family and even our ministry. This happened after I gave my life to Jesus. It took a little time for me to trust the Lord with my path. He has shown me in so many ways how He has and will take care of us. Following Him in everything I do has become second nature. I know of no other way to live.
Hearing His Voice
Does the Lord speak to His people on a daily basis, yes. I hear Him in many different ways. This is my most recent experience. At a race 2 weeks ago, we had a problem with one of our more sophisticated pieces of equipment that required we send it back to the manufacturer. The box I would normally use was at home, but there are plenty of resources on the road, so no need to go home just for that.
Mustard Seed Faith in Business
Sometimes when we see or read about how our Lord works in today’s world, it seem a bit unrealistic, even hard to believe. I often think why would He bother with me or my problems? Who am I to ask the God of the universe to heal my pains or handle my situations? There are so many other things in the world that need His hand. I’m really nobody in the grand scheme of things, right? Wrong!
Losing Your Life for His Purposes
March 3rd, 2001 was the day I decided to follow Jesus. My life has not been the same since. It has been, and continues to be, the greatest adventure of my life. I can’t imagine not being who He has called me to be or the places He has called to. I love Him and my life.
Wanted: Dead or Alive!
You don’t have to stand in the pulpit of a church or teach Sunday school or minister in any ‘official’ capacity to have impact for the Lord. Who at work or in your daily life needs prayer? Who could use a gentle touch from our Poppa through the love of Christ shown by another human being?
The Gospel of the Kingdom
Hard questions for each of us. We must always be willing to evaluate our relationship with the Lord and work towards the ultimate goal of being reborn in the image of Christ.
Blessings
