Fears Paralyzes, Faith Energizes
2017 continues to be one of the oddest years since I returned to the Fathers house in 2001. For the last few years we have worked with the same group of promoters adding a new group on occasion. This year that has changed, partly because we have better availability than in the past, but mostly because we have stopped working with a couple of different series which opened up our schedule to other opportunities.
Prior to my relationship with the Lord, as the jobs and groups dropped off, I would have been scrambling to find more work for our company out of fear of not being able to pay my bills. But because I have turned my life and our company over to Him, my job is to keep moving forward, keep my eyes on the Lord and rely on Him to bring the increase.
Just in the past 2 weeks, we’ve had promoters ask about us streaming 2 more events over the next month. These are 2 events that we have not streamed in the past and will actually replace some events we’ve lost the last few months. As I was writing this devotional, I got confirmation on both events! Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
This type of thing happens often with our company. When we come to the end of ourselves, the Lord has us set up to see His hand at work in our lives. It is a renewing of our understanding of how closely He walks with us every day. This is the type of relationship He wants with each of us. It’s all there for the taking, the invitation is open, all you have to do is accept it and then get ready for the ride of your life!
