It's not about making a point…let's make a difference

Your Work

All I want to hear from our Lord when I get to heaven is, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” The actual bible verse is from Matthew 25:23, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

Over the last few years, the demand for our product has skyrocketed. That’s the only term I can use to describe it. To think just a few years ago we barely understood how to stream audio less alone a video stream of the quality we have today is certainly mind boggling to me. Some would say we were in the right place at the right time. Others would say we had luck on our side. It’s clear to me that our business has the Lords hand all over it.

Why do I say that? We are not the only company that has tried to stream drag racing live. If I recall correctly, we are 1 of 5 or 6 groups that have done this over the last 8 years. Of all of those groups, only 2 are still streaming. The other groups were just as smart or smarter and had more knowledge and better equipment, yet the ‘little guy’ was the one who made the biggest splash and has survived.

When the Lord chooses you to accomplish a task, our responsibility is to salute smartly and act accordingly. This is what we have done in our business and lives. Because we did what the Lord asked, we have enjoyed great success and had the opportunity to touch numerous lives. Our only explanation, He has opened the doors and made straight the path.

We are all called to glorify the Lord in everything we do. As you work today, remember what Paul said in Col 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Your Work

“I have brought You glory on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do.” – John 17:4

The Lord has revealed to us that the number one thing we are to do is love the Lord our God with all our heart and to love our neighbor as ourselves. His desire is for us to know Him and the power of His resurrection. These mandates deal with our relationship with Him. The fruit of this relationship must then result in our glorifying Him by completing the work He has given each of us to do. It will become a by-product of this relationship, not an end in itself.

What is the work God has called you to do? Jesus never did anything the Father had not instructed Him to do. He lived in such communion with the Father that He knew when to turn left and when to turn to the right. Is it possible to have such a relationship with our heavenly Father? I think that if it weren’t, He would not have given us such an example.

“Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jer. 33:3). What has He called you to do? Perhaps you are called to be the best CPA in your city or the best advertising executive or the best office worker or assembly line person in your company. Whatever work He has called you to do, He will use you as His instrument to accomplish something that He has uniquely prepared you to do.

When our life is complete, what a glorious day it will be if we can each say, “I have completed the work You gave me to do.” This will have brought great glory to Him.
