Move On
As the new year dawns, we find ourselves once again moving out of our comfort zone. The company is growing by leaps and bounds, we have a new team, a real office, more employees and even more challenges as we move forward in a year that is just 2 weeks old! It is nearly overwhelming at times.
Seeing The Big Picture
In February of 2001, the Lord called us to ministry to the drivers, crews, families and fans of drag racing through several different organizations and tracks across the US and in Canada. In 2004, I retired from my career in the military and started ministering at the races fulltime. At the height of the race track ministry we had 12 chaplains and ministered at over 60 events each year.
The High Places
Tomorrow many of us will celebrate the birth of Jesus. The one sent as the ultimate sacrifice to save mankind. This Christmas will be very different for us. There is no tree, ornate decorations or lights on the house like we’ve had in the past. Traditional celebrations will be few and present giving a minimum. All of this is by choice.
Elevated From the Pasture
There are many good things that come from success. Wealth, influence and prosperity are just a few I can think of off the top of my head. Unfortunately, all too often bad things can also creep in. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve watched become successful only to fall to pride and arrogance. Yep, they all that and a bag of chips!
Hearing God’s Voice
Before I gave my life over to the Lord, I considered myself a Christian. I went to church nearly every week, practiced what we’ve affectionately termed the ‘holy days of obligation’ and basically looked like a Christian to the world. The key word here is ‘looked’ like a Christian.

Belief or Unbelief
Some years ago I was looking for a way to express the definition of faith outside of the scriptures…to put it in the vernacular so to speak. I don’t remember where I found this, but it hit the nail on the head. “Faith is believing in what you can’t see, following a voice you can’t prove you heard and living by principles that God says are true but don’t make sense in this world.”
