It's not about making a point…let's make a difference

Diversity in the Body, Impact

Consistency in attending a local assembly is difficult for anyone who follows any type of racing circuit. It does not matter if you are an official, race team member or vendor, getting plugged in is nearly impossible, especially if you move between the various circuits like we do at MotorMania TV.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

Last year was our busiest season ever for our business. We spent more time on the road and drove more miles than any year prior. By the time we got home I was worn smooth out. I was physically, mentally and spiritually spent. I didn’t want to think, I didn’t want to plan nor did I want to do much of anything beyond what was absolutely necessary. Breathing seemed like enough effort at times. Don’t get me wrong, I still functioned well, but I was working without passion.

I’m not sure exactly how we ended up at my buddies church that Sunday, but we did. It was filled with people we’ve known for years, yet something was different. Perhaps my need to ‘just be’ instead of ‘being’ had brought me to a point where I could hear from the Lord through my friend and the people in the church. This church’s mission statement is, ‘Win the lost, disciple the found, mend the broken and send the whole’ This church is an emergency room for God’s people, a place where the weary can find rest, healing and right teaching of the Word. I needed rest more than I could have imagined possible.

How are you doing today? Are you running on empty? Have you lost your passion or do you lack vision for the path ahead? If that’s where you find yourself today, then talk with the Father and ask Him to help you find your way. Churches are as numerous as the sands on a beach, there is a place for each of us…all we have to do is ask Poppa.
