“I am disinclined to acquiesce to your request.” That was the line Captain Barboosa used in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie the ‘Curse of the Black Pearl’ when Elizabeth Swann asked him to stop the attack on Port Royal, leave and never come back . As she stared at him he put it in the simplest of terms and said, “that means no.”

A Heavenly Strategic Planning Session
I have 2 significant phone meetings today with groups we’ve worked with for several years in our business. I am uncertain what will happen with either. I do know that what ever the decisions are they will have significant impact on our lives and those around us.
Product Testing
Testing, I always hated tests in school. It seemed I could have a good grasp on the material but somehow fake myself out during the exam and miss the obvious answers. I would call that classic over thinking of the situation. That is no different than where I find myself today in our business.
Moving in Presumption
As we enter the final stretch of our season, the finish line is coming into focus. This has been a very long year with many trials. Uncertainty looms as we head into the off season. It looks like a few organizations are heading in a different direction that may affect what we do in 2017. There are 3 key words in that last sentence, looks, like and may. None of those words can be defined as absolutes.
David’s Armor
I often struggled with the path the Lord has chosen for me, marketplace ministry. Time and time again I wonder if I am doing the right thing, did I hear His voice correctly. Just when I think I might should do something different, He shows me I am exactly where He wants me. I can honestly say this is a struggle all of us go through from time to time.
