Devotional

Overcoming All Odds

During a portion of my military career, I was an airplane mechanic in the heavy maintenance shop. Basically, if it moved on the jet (flight controls, loading systems, landing gear, etc) we to worked on that system. A portion of my time, as a maintainer, was spent on the midnight shift. I loved that shift, we were always busy helping get the jets ready for the next days flight schedule.

Rejected for Christ

There are three thoughts that stick out in my mind this morning about this devotional.

1 – Is there a wanted poster in hell with you name on it? In other words, are you causing the enemy so much trouble he is sending his minions after you?
2 – If charges where brought against you for bring a Christ follower, is there enough evidence to convict you?

I would not have chosen what He has led us to on my own…I was always a ‘play it safe’ kind of guy. Ministry and start up businesses do NOT fall in that category.

Reflecting His Glory

Water baptism - Grand River, ON

Last Saturday morning, on the Grand River near Toronto Motorsports Park, JAMA Racing Ministry was honored to help four believers celebrate their faith through water baptism. I can’t begin to put into words the joy I feel nor express how proud I am of the decision these friends made to profess their faith through baptism. I consider myself privileged that God would choose us to be His hands and feet on this momentous day…to Him goes all the glory!

Waiting on God

Our society is driven by results. Whether it’s the grades on your tests at school, the results of your latest project or even the impact of your sermon, we focus on results, not the process. I’m not saying results are not important, they are to a degree, however, if we focus solely on them we miss out on so much in life because we fail to enjoying the journey.
