The Lord’s Training Ground
From the mountain top to the valley, that’s what I experienced this past weekend. I liken it to when I spent most of my time speaking at chapel service. The Lord would give me a great message that spoke to those in attendance. Then on Monday I would sink into a deep valley wondering if I had any impact at all.
Changing Our Paradigm
When I returned to the Fathers house in 1996, I was still running on the religion I grew up with as a kid. Having spent many years in 2 large denominations, I had the act down pat on who I should be as a Christian. I could speak the language of Christians, I knew all of the popular songs and how to smile and nod at the appropriate times. I had become a consummate politician under the Christian badge.
Moving With the Cloud
I’m parked at Rockingham Dragway preparing for the next PDRA event, Dragstock XI and staring at the end of a long season. This is our 2nd PDRA event at Rockingham and our 3rd at this facility this year. As I start my work day, it’s hard not to reflect on the 2014 season and where our company has come in the last 8 months.

Concealing a Matter
Just when you have come to a point where no one knows of the past life you have lived, the Lord will ask you to help some one based on your personal failures. Living a transparent life is rarely easy or convenient. However, if the Lord can use your experiences to touch the lives of those you meet, especially when you can speak of His grace and mercy in your own life, think of the impact it will have.
Giving and Receiving
As we moved from fulltime on track ministry to marketplace ministers, the Lord has continued to use a group of faithful givers to provide for all of the ministries needs. Understanding and having faith in how the Lord supports our needs was something it took me a while to understand. For the longest time I thought it was suppose to come through your local assembly. That’s simply not true, He provides as He deems necessary. We have never wanted for basic needs, ever.
Motivations to Call
My personal life was in crisis, I had no place to turn. I knew if things did not change, I would loose my family and my most likely the results of my actions would have a negative impact on my career. This was not the first time I had been at this junction in my life, the only difference was He had called me to preach the Gospel.
