Getting Picked
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last” (John 15:16).
Yesterday two things of significance happened. I was chatting with a friend on line about his feed when out of the blue he asked me if I wanted to purchase a piece of equipment he had bought over the winter. We settled on a price and he will ship it out this week.
The second thing happened last night right before I went to bed. I received an email from the welcome team at Elevation church online. We’ve watched the Sunday services or messages from Elevation for many years. Last week I signed up for an online account with them, not sure why because it is not required to watch, and then yesterday I participated in the online chat for the very first time. I really enjoyed the fellowship!
So why are these particularly random happenings of significance? Let me explain.
The second happening is the start of where I believe the Lord is pointing me on my spiritual journey. For years I have yearned to start some type of online ministry to connect with other believers in the drag racing community. We have done everything from hosting full on live chapel services to recorded messages. While His word never returns void, the results where not what would be consider fruitful. Is this the answer, uncertain, but it does follow the way the Lord asks us to do things, He instills the desire, shows the way and provides the resources.
Has the Lord chosen you for a specific task or path to impact the Kingdom and yet you are uncertain what to do? Time to get alone with the Lord as you work and play in life to see what He has chosen you to do.
